My Coaching Philosophy
I approach coaching both inside the gym and outside the gym in a similar fashion. I believe that life is full of limiting factors, barriers that are holding you back. My goal is to identify and remove them, freeing you to move forward in your goals.
My approach is to address the person as a whole, always working on the mind and body. As you will see in my fitness mission statement, I have a very holistic approach to training and fitness.
Regardless of where you are in life, I believe that it is important to start where you are, do what you can and most importantly, do it often! And I’ll be there to make sure that you do!
My Fitness Mission Statement:
The ability to move my body pain free and without limitations. To have a solid foundation of strength, agility and endurance to pursue the activities that I enjoy and inspire me. To strive for a balance and pay equal attention to my physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual and mental health.
I value mental clarity, being centered in my beliefs and pursue fitness as a means to improve my body, not ruin it. I measure strength by the ability to move my own weight, not simply by how much weight that I can move.
I am one whole being and not merely the sum of my parts. My goal is to integrate and tie the body together, making it one better, stronger, more resilient functioning unit versus being good at any one task.
The end goal of my fitness mission statement is to make myself open to all of opportunities and resilient to the challenges that life will present itself to me. It is so that I can ultimately have a life that is about being passionate and following what I enjoy, both today and in the future!
Sculpting The Body
Original Strength
What is Original Strength? Well here it is in their own words:
Based on the human developmental sequence and the design of the human body, the Original Strength System teaches movements which help RESET an individual’s neuromuscular system allowing them to enjoy improved physical movement and physiological function.
Now what that means to me, and the reason why I became an OS level 2 coach, is because it is simply the best system out there for eliminating pain and rejuvenating one’s body so that they can move better and become a stronger unified whole. It has helped me train clients of all walks of life, but most importantly those who have nagging injuries that are holding them back from their true potential.
Shaping the mind
Precision Nutrition
Precision Nutrition is home to the world’s top nutrition coaches. They have industry leading certifications for teaching the art and science of nutrition coaching as well having directly shaped the lives of thousands of clients themselves, and I myself was one of them.
Being a client before becoming certified with them was an eye opener for me. For they have a unique habit based approach for getting their results. It wasn’t about counting calories or following one specific diet, but instead the focus is on what actions you take during the day. That is ultimately the key to transforming your body, being proactive and having all of your actions inline with your goal. And of course, having a real person that you can reach out to for guidance or to hold you accountable along your journey!
